BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Police Department welcomed a new police dog earlier this week.
According to a Bloomington police Facebook post, K-9 Bane and Officer Chambers recently completed their K-9 certification and are back in Bloomington. Bane is trained in evidence recovery, narcotics detection, tracking, article searches and criminal apprehensions.
Bane is a 19-month-old Belgian Malinois. He was born in the Czech Republic.
The Bloomington Police Department thanked the Decatur Police Department for collaborating in the training.
