ISU names Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost

NORMAL – Illinois State University announced the hiring of a vice president of academic affairs and Provost.

ISU President Dr. Aondover Tarhule announced that the acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Dr. Ani Yazedijan, accepted the role.

Dr. Yazedjian has been acting provost since February 17, 2023, and will serve for five years, effective May 1.

The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs play a crucial role in the university, providing leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and assessing all academic programs.

Dr. Yazedjian served as associate provost for four years, serving on the university strategic planning steering team.

Dr. Yazedjian holds a doctorate and master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
