LEROY – The 28th annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America will be making a stop in McLean County Tuesday morning.

Led by NASCAR’s Kyle Petty, the cross-country motorcycle ride will be stopping at the Love’s Travel Stop in LeRoy on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m.

The annual ride travels to raise awareness and funds for Victory Junction, a camp created to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening medical illnesses.

In a Facebook post from LeRoy Police, any community members planning to attend the event are asked to park at the LeRoy Christian Church located at 603 S. East Street.

Police said the south half of the Love’s front parking lot will be closed off for the motorcyclists participating. Persimmon Drive will be closed between the Holiday Inn and the entrance to the Love’s semi lot.
