BLOOMINGTON – Employers and future employees alike were given an opportunity to showcase what they have to offer during an event Thursday morning put on by the Mclean County business community.
The McLean County Chamber of Commerce held their annual Spring Job Fair at the YMCA in Bloomington. Meta Mickens-Baker, a senior talent acquisition specialist at State Farm, talked about what kind of chances the job fair gives to potential candidates.
“It’s very good to get the communities to be more aware of opportunities. People are often times looking for positions, not sure where to start, so when we come together as many different companies, they get a chance to really go around and see where their skills can be used,” she said.
People looking for jobs were given brief descriptions of each business of any tables they went to. Job seekers found the fair to be a good chance for them to find a job or career they were looking for.
The next job fair will be held in the fall.
