Normal police investigate weekend shots fired incident

NORMAL – Police are probing a shots fired incident that happened early Saturday morning in north Normal.

Officers were called just after 1 a.m. to the 100 block of Northfield Drive for a report of multiple gunshots heard in the area.

Officers say they located evidence of a shooting and multiple unoccupied vehicles had been struck by gunfire.

There were no reports of any injuries and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
