BLOOMINGTON – Prices at the pump are down almost $0.15 in the past month as summer travel ticks up.
Average gasoline prices across the state are down $0.04 per gallon in the last week, with prices down $0.30 per gallon than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, prices at the pump average $3.72 a gallon.
On the national stage, prices at the pump stand $0.01 more than a week ago.
The average price across the country is $3.31 per gallon.
“Since the national average price of gasoline fell to its lowest June level since 2021 last week, we’ve seen the drop in prices take a break, with some states seeing a small rise over the last week. Thankfully, I expect this to be more like a short timeout, with an eventual return to falling gasoline prices in most states,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
The cheapest station in Illinois is $2.99 per gallon, while the most expensive is $5.19 per gallon.
