Crystal Lake man identified in rural McLean County fatal crash

DOWNS – A 65-year-old man from Crystal Lake died in an accident late Monday evening in Downs.

McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathleen Yoder reports the single-vehicle accident occurred on Illinois Route 150 just west of McLean County in Downs Township around 8:45 p.m.

Dr. Yoder reports Stanley Miller died from multiple blunt injuries to a crash.

An investigation found that Miller lost control of his car, left the roadway, and crashed.

Miller was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police.
