NORMAL – A month’s long traffic enforcement led to the arrest of two individuals in Normal.

During July, Normal Police beefed up patrols as part of the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign.

Thanks to a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation, officers issued 70 citations for seatbelt use, speeding, and cellphone usage.

During the campaign, officers arrested two individuals – one for driving while their license was suspended and one for possession of a controlled substance.

Over 200 local police and sheriff departments around the state participated in the campaign.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
