COUNTRY Financial records over 1,000 claims from severe storms

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington-based insurance company reports more than 1,000 claims after several days of severe storms in Central Illinois.

According to a news release, COUNTRY Financial leaders say the claims include damage reports to vehicles, homes, and property.

Over the past 36 hours, some parts of Central Illinois experienced winds that sped up to 80 mph.

COUNTRY Financial expects the claims to climb in the coming days as more individuals report damage to their properties from wind and trees.
