Police in Normal launching investigation after shots fired on Sunday

NORMAL – Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened Sunday afternoon in Normal.

Officers were called just after 4:15 to the 1100 block of West Avenue, just south of West Hovey Avenue.

Authorities say multiple gunshots were fired in the area, but no injuries were reported.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Normal Police, or use the Tip411 service if you wish to provide information and remain anonymous.

The investigation into this case is still ongoing.
