Normal Police issue over 200 citations in July

NORMAL – A traffic campaign in Normal throughout July lead to hundreds of citations.

Thanks to the Illinois Department of Transportation support, NPD officers issued 227 speeding citations.

Additionally, officers issued four seat belt citations, 31 other citations, and three distracted drive citations.

NPD arrested three people for traffic offenses, along with one drug arrest.

The traffic detail was a part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
