Two dead after crash in rural Woodford County

WOODFORD COUNTY – Two people are dead after a crash in rural Woodford County this past weekend.

Woodford County authorities said the one-vehicle crash happened last Saturday morning around 3:45 a.m. near U.S. Rt. 24 and 2500 E. Rd.

According to a news release, Rogelio, Rivera Lozada 26, and Lazaro De La Luz Hernandez, 23, both died in the crash.

Preliminary autopsies say both men died from multiple blunt force trauma sustained during the crash.

The Woodford County Sheriff’s Department and the Woodford County Coroner’s Office are investigating the accident.
