La Salle man dead after colliding with a semi-trailer in Grundy County

GRUNDY COUNTY – A 47-year-old La Salle man died in a crash early Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around noon on I-80 eastbound near mile marker 109.

According to Grundy County Coroner John Callahan, David Biggane was traveling eastbound when he collided with the rear end of a semi-trailer.

Biggane was pronounced dead at the scene half an hour later.

The death remains under investigation by Illinois State Police and the Grundy County Coroner’s Office.
