MCLEAN COUNTY – A McLean County could spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of child pornography.
The investigation into Stephen Schultz, 61, began at the Normal Police Department in 2021.
Just a little over a year later, McLean County Prosecutors charged Schults with 55 counts of child pornography with victims less than 13 years of age.
Earlier this year, Schultz was found guilty on 38 counts of possession of child porn.
This week, a McLean County judge sentenced Schults to 210 years behind bars.
The Normal Police Department teamed up with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on the case.
