Business damaged during shooting incident in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Police Department is investigating after a shooting incident near Veterans Parkway and Washington Street on Friday.

According to a Bloomington police news release, officers responded to the scene when officers heard gunfire in the area at approximately 11:33 a.m.

Officers searched the area and located evidence of a shooting and property damage to a local business. No injuries have been reported in connection to this incident.

Bloomington police temporarily rerouted traffic away from Veterans Parkway while they investigated the shooting. Traffic was returned to normal by 12:43 p.m.

No arrests have been made in connection to this incident at this time.
