Woodford County urging people to lock doors after burglaries

GERMANTOWN HILLS – One car has been reported stolen after a spree of robberies and break-ins occurred on Friday night.

The Woodford County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that a group of people had been seen walking around Germantown Hills in the Far Hills and Maple Lane areas, looking to see if houses and cars were unlocked.

Several cars were entered and people’s things had been stolen. The sheriff’s office is urging people to lock the doors to their homes and cars and call 911 for any suspicious activity, the post said.

The Sheriff’s office released a video of two people wearing coats and masks walking through yards and trying to open a door.
