BLOOMINGTON – State Farm will not be advertising during the Super Bowl as originally planned, as their attention will be on helping the people of Los Angeles.
State Farm said in a news release sent to WMBD that their main focus is to help their customers who have been impacted by the tragedy of the fires in Southern California.
“Our focus is firmly on providing support to the people of Los Angeles. We will not be advertising during the game as originally planned.”
The release also said they have had contact with over 90% of their customers. As of Jan. 19 they say they have received over 8,000 home and auto-claims and have given over $50 million back to their customers.
“State Farm serves more than 8 million customers in California – more than any other insurer – and we’ve been doing this for nearly 100 years. Our claims force is the largest in the industry, and we are bringing the full scale and force of our catastrophe response teams to help customers recover – whether they are on the ground in LA or across the country,” the release said.
The number of claims and money State Farm has given to their customers will continue to rise as residents return home and asses the damages to their properties, the release said.
