ISP responds to deadly two vehicle crash in Central Illinois

WOODFORD COUNTY – At least one person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 251 at about 6:56 a.m. on Monday.

According to the Illinois State Police, first responders arrived on the scene near Kappa and closed the roadway. The roadway remained closed until 11:45 a.m.

No other details on the cause of the crash or the victims have been released by the state police at this time.

According to the Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman, an El Paso woman died on the scene. A man, who was the driver of the other vehicle, was taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
