Bloomington man charged in McLean County with several child porn counts

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man is facing nearly a dozen child pornography counts following an investigation by the Bloomington Police Department.

David Breeden, 45, was charged in McLean County Circuit Court with seven counts of child porn exhibition and two counts of possessing the illicit images. All are felonies that could keep him in prison for up to 30 years.

Probation is not an option.

Breeden appeared in court on Tuesday for an initial appearance and will be arraigned on the counts on Feb. 21, according to online court records.

He was arrested Monday an investigation by the department’s Cyber Crimes Unit. The investigation began when a technology company made a report, to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, regarding the sharing of child sex abuse material.
