One dead after car vs. bicycle crash in LaSalle County

LASALLE – A man is dead after a Bicycle vs. Vehicle crash near Illinois Route 251 and North 16th Road in LaSalle County on Sunday.

According to the Illinois State Police, deputies responded to the crash sometime after 6:03 p.m. Both the car and bicycle were heading south on Illinois Route 251 when the car allegedly struck the bicycle.

The bicyclist, a 46-year-old man from Lasalle, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver and passenger in the vehicle did not report any injuries.
