Normal Police investigating shooting incident

NORMAL – The Normal Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred near Orlando Avenue and Northbrook Drive on Thursday.

According to Normal Police Chief Steve Petrilli, officers responded at approximately 4:08 p.m. to someone calling in who said they saw a man with a gun after hearing shots fired in the area.

When officers responded to the scene, they located evidence of a shooting in the area. No injuries or property damage was reported from this incident, according to Petrilli.

Officers are working to identify a suspect in connection to this incident, which remains under investigation.
