New Location for Best Buddies Friendship Walk in Central Illinois

The Best Buddies Friendship Walk in Central Illinois with TerraForm Power has a new location for 2025! We will still walk on April 26th and celebrate our amazing friends and family with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Join us April 26th from 2:30pm-5pm at Heartland Community College for food, fun, and friendship!

Heartland Community College and their HALO Program have been major supporters of the IDD community and Best Buddies mission in Central Illinois, so we are beyond grateful for their hospitality with our event on April 26th!

So, what’s the plan? Well, registration opens at 2:30pm. From there, we party!!! We will have games and activities, the Pizza Payaa food truck and Nothing Bundt Cakes, Wink on Wheels Mobile Beauty Spa, karaoke, and MORE! And all you need to do is register for this FREE event, so we know you are coming!!! Click here to get it done!

Everyone who raises $50 will get this year’s Friendship Walk shirt on April 26th at Heartland for the Walk!

2:30 – Registration Opens
3:00PM – Graduating Senior Recognition
3:10PM – Stretch Sesh with ISU
3:15PM – Opening Ceremonies with TerraForm Power hosted by Tim Jackson and Miss Twin Cities Kyrrah Randolph
3:30PM – Best Buddies Friendship Walk with TerraForm Power
5PM – Friendship Walk Ends

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

In Central Illinois, Best Buddies helps support Friendship Chapters in colleges like Bradley, ISU, U of I, EIU and Augustana. We also have High School Chapters like East Peoria, Pekin, Eureka, Dunlap, Normal Community, Olympia, Centennial, Central (Champaign), and more. Our Jobs program is growing from McLean and Peoria Counties to Sangamon and Champaign-Urbana too.
