SOUTH PEKIN (WMBD) — A 21-year-old man is in jail Thursday afternoon, hours after he allegedly shot and killed two people at a South Pekin home.
Memphis S. Rue was booked on charges of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting deaths, said Tazewell County Sheriff Jeff Lower.
The names of the victims will be released later by the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
The sheriff said Rue would likely be in court on Friday to be formally charged in connection with the shooting deaths. He declined to release further information, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
