PEORIA – A federal judge is asking prosecutors to document any false statements they may have made about former U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock to a grand jury.
The judge said prosecutors made improper comments about Schock declining to testify before the grand jury, something he doesn’t have to do.
Schock has pleaded not guilty to a number of charges including wire fraud and theft of government funds.
