Drunk driving suspect in multiple crashes Friday released on bond

NORMAL – The alleged drunk driver, who is believed to have caused five car crashes in Normal Friday night, has been released from jail.

McLean County Jail records indicate Zachary Willis, 22, of Bloomington posted bond and was released Saturday afternoon, pending a Tuesday court appearance.

Bond for Willis was set at $1,500, meaning he had to post $150 to be released.

In a span of only about 15-minutes, he allegedly struck a vehicle near Maxwell Park and four other vehicles at locations along College Ave. in Normal.

Two people were said to have suffered minor injuries.

Police said they arrested Willis at Towanda and Emerson in Bloomington.
