Normal to host 12U national softball tournament in 2019

NORMAL – Champion Fields in Normal will again host national championship softball.

The Bloomington-Normal Convention and Visitors Bureau reports USA Softball has selected Normal to host the national 12-under girls tournament in 2019. The softball governing body announced its selection on Wednesday.

The 2019 event is expected to attract up to 60 teams from across the nation. The Town of Normal hosted this year’s 16-under national championship in late July and early August.

This marks the 12th time that Normal has been selected as a national tournament host by USA Softball.
