Eva Dazey Barnard, 98 of Chenoa, Ill.,, died at 8:05 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at Heritage Healthcare, Gibson City, Ill. with family present.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Chenoa Baptist Church or the Chenoa Food Pantry both in Chenoa.

Mrs. Barnard was born Sept. 8, 1919 in Wayne County, lll.; a daughter to Oscar and Laura (Wolfe) Cook. She married Otho Edgar Barnard on Nov. 21, 1936 in Johnsonville, Ill. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1991. Her parents, three brothers, one sister, two son in-laws, Herb Bockman and Keith Klitzing and one daughter, Jeannie Klitzing also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Bockman of Pontiac, Ill.; one son, Ted (Lyn) Barnard of Chenoa; one brother, Dale (Mary) Cook of Browning, Tx.; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

As a life-long member of Chenoa Baptist Church, Eva served as church clerk for over 25 years. She loved her church and supported many areas of ministry throughout the years. Eva was a living example of Faith and Love to her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dawn PattersonDawn Patterson

Dawn Kristine Patterson, 59, of Towanda, passed away at 1:18 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at her home after a brief illness.

There will be no services. Carmody-Flyn Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Lisa Golding, P.O. Box 76, Towanda, Ill., 61776 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Dawn was born Aug. 7, 1958 in Streator, the daughter of Allen “Pat” and Dagny Lund Patterson. She grew up in Dwight, Ill. and graduated from Dwight High School in 1976 and to this day, Dwight is what she called home.

She is survived by her best friend and sister, Lisa Golding, sister-in-law, Kathie Delong Patterson and a sister, Gail (Bob) Ricketts; nieces and nephews, Mari (Paul) Patterson Jenner, Mandi Golding and Meagan (Jason) Richardson, Mark (Melodia) Patterson, Heidi O’Bannon. She also leaves behind great nieces and nephews, Madison and Hunter Jenner, Jade and Zoe Patterson, Scotlyn and Meadow Richardson and Kayla Norton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger Patterson.

Dawn retired in September 2016 from State Farm after 19 years and had previously worked at the William Fox Center in Dwight and some area restaurants.

Having a love for Route 66 made Dawn turn her garage into a tourist attraction, where she met people from all over the world and was given the President’s Award by the Association in 2012. She closed her garage in May 2017 after 16 years. She loved the Cubs and was thankful she was able to see them win the World Series. She was also a huge Miami Dolphin fan and loved cats.

Dawn was blessed with wonderful friends her entire life along with neighbors and co-workers. She never knew a stranger and loved to make people smile and laugh. She hoped she would be remembered for this.

Robert WinterlandRobert Winterland

Robert Winterland, 89, of Colfax, passed away at 2:20 p.m., Nov. 14, 2017, at Heritage Health, Normal.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax. Pastor Corinne Blissard will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery or Alzheimer’s Association.

Robert was born Nov 29, 1927, in Colfax, the son of Ben and Catherine Ficken Winterland.

He married Virginia Schroeder on Jan. 21, 1951, in Anchor. She survives.

Also surviving are his sons, Darrell (Caroline) Winterland and Keith Winterland both of Colfax; grandchildren, Lisa (Todd) Jumper and Carrie Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Emily Jumper and Nathan and Kylie Hoffman; sister-in-laws, Betty and Louise Winterland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Glenn, Dale, and Lowell and two sisters, Wilma Harms and Fern Smith.

Robert was a lifelong farmer in the Colfax area.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax and McLean County Farm Bureau.

Deni WiseDeni Wise

Donald “Deni” Wise, 62, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Normal passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 in Port Charlotte Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a videographer, DJ and photographer in Bloomington for many years.

Deni is survived by his wife, Jeni; son, Jay (Erica) Wise; daughters, Donna (Johnny) Harms and Faith B. Wise, mother, Mary Anna Wise, sisters, Venus (Mark) Morgan, Laura (Leo) Heaton and Tamitha (Ralf) Czeka; brothers, John (Teri) and Gil (Leona) Wise.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Wise; and by his grandparents.

A memorial gathering for his friends, neighbors and business associates will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. in the Tally Rand Room at the Chateau, 1601 Jumer Drive, Bloomington.
