Mae Collins

Mae Collins, 69, of Fairbury passed away 6:04 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or the family.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.

Mae was born November 17, 2017, in Athens, County, OH the daughter of Albert and Mable Guess Hunter.

She married Donald Collins on October 19, 1968. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Shane (Michelle) Collins and Gina (Dave Icenogle) Collins both of Fairbury, Carrie (Adam) Followell of Forrest, and Heather Collins of Fairbury; grandchildren, Dustin Collins, Treavor Bazzell, Tyler (Kylie) Followell, Chase Collins, Jesse Bazzell, Trenton Followell, Alex Collins, Miranda Collins, Tate Followell, Morgan Collins, Mable Collins, Madelyn Collins,; great-grandchildren, Ryan Collins and Emmerson Followell; siblings, Donald and John Hunter, Sandy Shonborn, and Becky (Charlie Blackstone) McWhorter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Gary Hunter.

Mary Ifft

Mary Ellen Ifft, 83, Fairbury, died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with ministers of the church officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to the Mary Ellen Ifft memorial fund.

Mrs. Ifft was born April 23, 1934 in Gladstone, Oregon the daughter of Oscar and Mary Ellen Kuenzi Bolliger.  She married Gilbert Leon Ifft on January 14, 1956 in Pontiac, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 26, 1997.

Survivors include 3 sons, Leon D. (Lois) Ifft, Kailua, HI; Darrell W. (Pamela) Ifft, Fairbury; Loren J. Ifft, Kailua, HI; 1 daughter, Suzanne K. (David) Provance, Rockton, IL; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 brother, Benjamin (Caroline) Bolliger, Salem, Oregon.

She is preceded in death by a son, Daniel and 4 brothers.

Mrs. Ifft was a member of the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Church.  She had worked at the Silverton Hospital and the bean fields of Silverton, Oregon.  Most recently she had worked at Fairbury Fastener.

Frederick Patterson

Frederick Harold “Fred” Patterson, 65, of Bloomington, IL formerly of Pontiac, IL passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

A visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Pontiac. According to the family’s wishes, cremation rites will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac is handling arrangements for the family.

Fred was born January 9, 1952 in Pontiac, IL a son of Frederick Samuel and Mabel Golda (Marker) Patterson. He married Sherrie Watkins on May 14, 1994 in Bloomington, IL. She survives.

Also surviving is his step daughter: Christina (David) Cors of Deer Creek, IL; one sister: Karen Cook of Normal, IL; two granddaughters: Kaeleigh and Mikayla; two great grandsons: Dalton Jr. and Landyn; three nieces and one nephew; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Pastor Robert Patterson.

Fred was born and raised in the Pontiac area. He worked for 18 years for the City of Pontiac in road maintenance before moving to Bloomington and working for GATX for 10 years.

He enjoyed fishing, John Deere and Oliver tractors, very active in Thresherman’s Reunion, and he liked to cook and eat.

Fred was a loving husband, step father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Dorothy Rosenberger

Dorothy Ruth Rosenberger, 90, Chenoa, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Josh Clemons officiating.  Burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  The family suggests memorials be given to South Eastern Livingston County Ambulance Service, Fairbury or Community Cancer Center, Normal.

Mrs. Rosenberger was born August 26, 1927 in Gary, IN the daughter of Earl and Lillian Farley Hanes.  She married Clement “Bud” Rosenberger on July 12, 1947 in Chenoa.  He survives in Chenoa.

Other survivors include a son, Clayton (Sue) Rosenberger, Chenoa; 5 grandchildren, Ashley (Bryan) Youngsma, Michelle (Josh) Clemons, Clifton (Emily) Rosenberger, Alison (Donnie) Skelton, Sheryl (Jay) Solomanson and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Walter; a granddaughter, Natalie Walter and a great grandson, Colton Skelton.

Mrs. Rosenberger was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chenoa.  She had been employed at the Weston Grain Elevator and served as a Yates Twp. Election judge for many years.  She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Merry Makers Club.
