Winter Weather Advisory issued for Central Illinois

LINCOLN – The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 3 p.m. Monday until midnight for McLean, Ford, Livingston, Tazewell and Woodford counties.

The weather service calls for 2 to 4 inches of snow, creating slippery road conditions, including during the evening commute.

The snow is expected to fall primarily between 2-11 p.m. Areas to the south are expected to receive less snow, while areas west of the Illinois River could get 4 to 6 inches of snow.

Monday’s high temperature is expected to reach 21 degrees, with another 1 to 2 inches of snow on Tuesday and a high near 20.
