BLOOMINGTON – Brady Rose led four Titans in double figures with 17 points as Illinois Wesleyan maintained its standing atop the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with a 70-61 win over Carroll at Shirk Center.
Jaylen Beasley, who along with Tyler Burdine was honored in senior night pregame ceremonies, pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds to go with four points. Alex O’Neill added 14 points on 6-for-6 field goal shooting and five rebounds.

IWU led 31-28 at halftime after jumping out to a 16-5 lead. Carroll tied the game at 36-36 on a Joel Heesch layup with 16:13 to go, but the Titans quickly regained the lead on two Rose three throws. The Titans elevated the lead to 58-47 on a Rose three from the top of the key with 8:52 to go.
The Titans (17-5, 10-3 in the CCIW) visit Millikin on Wednesday.
IWU women
The Titan women rebounded from their first CCIW loss to dominate Carroll 87-58. Nina Anderson scored 22 points off the bench while Rebekah Ehresman came within one assist of a triple double (11 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists). Ehresman was honored before the game along with fellow seniors Molly McGraw and Kelsey Walsberg.
