UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – Brady Rose led all scorers with 31 points but No. 25 Illinois Wesleyan was unable to reverse an early deficit in falling to the College of Wooster, 72, 68, in the NCAA Div. III first-round game at the DeCarlo Center at John Carroll University.
IWU (19-8) game up the game’s first eight points, before Rose scored the next nine for the Titans. No. 23 Wooster (22-6) led for much of the game using a 21-16 rebounding margin in the first half to grab a 35-31 lead at the break.

The Fighting Scots led 54-44 with 12:07 to go but the Titans moved to within 54-52 on two Rose free throws.
Wooster iced the game down the stretch making 11 consecutive free throws down the stretch.
O’Neill added 11 points and a team-high 14 rebounds for Wesleyan. Colin Bonnett also scored 11.
