EUREKA — Firefighters rushed to the scene of a grain elevator explosion in Eureka early Monday morning, but there were no injuries.
Eureka Goodfield Fire Chief Craig Neal said several departments were called to Grainland Cooperative on County Highway 3 just before 6:15 a.m.
“We were informed that there was a dryer fire. We’re familiar with the facility. When we got out here, we saw there had been an explosion,” Neal told our news partner, WMBD-TV.
“There was smoke and fire showing,” Neal said.
The state fire marshal’s office is investigating what caused the blast.
