BLOOMINGTON – After serving as the Hawks’ Recruiting Coordinator for two years, Heartland Community College announced Jimmy Frankos will be the next Head Coach.
Frankos replaces Brian Furlong, who took a coaching position with Xavier University in Ohio.
“I am honored to be named the next head baseball coach at Heartland Community College,” said Frankos in a news release. “I am excited to take over a program with such a rich history and to continue to build on the success we have had in the classroom, in the community, and on tech baseball field. To be able to take over this program is a dream come true and I cannot wait to get started.”
Frankos comes to the Hawks with also serving as an assistant coach in the Cape Cod League for Wareham Gatemen.
Frankos is expected to begin his responsibilities pending approval from the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, August 21.
