BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington firefighters and public works employees are busy cleaning a diesel fuel spill on the city’s south side.
The fire department reports a motorist struck a fuel pump near Oakland Avenue sometime during the night, and an unknown amount of diesel fuel spilled and made its way to a nearby creek. The department says the fuel is contained as they continue the clean-up at the creek near Arcadia Drive and Lincoln Street.
Emergency sewer work also closed southbound Four Seasons Road at the intersection with Oakland Avenue near the station.
