BLOOMINGTON– Emma “Uschi” Kelly, 85 of Bloomington and formerly of Colfax, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 30, 2018 at Heritage Health, Normal.
Mrs. Kelly was born October 2, 1933 in Boblingen, Germany the daughter of Frank and Barbara Faust Spath. She married John Francis Kelly on June 29, 1957 in Boblingen Germany. He preceded her in death April 6, 1966.
Survivors include her children, Barb (Doug) Drilling, Rich Kelly, Heidi (Steve) Coan, Scott (Sheri) Kelly, Tim (Ann) Kelly, grandchildren, Kristen Drilling, Kelsey Drilling, Brooke (Matt) Tool, Sarah Kelly, Bryan (Jie) Jackson, Kari Kelly, Nate Kelly, Tracy (Erik) Esposito, Laura (Jim) Ferguson, great grandchildren, Emma and Lucas Tool, Dylan and Kaden Esposito, Hoyt and Hadley Ferguson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Kelly worked at Fincham’s Steakhaus for over 25 years and Ricky’s in Colfax for 3 years before retiring in 1997.
Her hobbies included cooking, gardening and watching all sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She loved cooking for her family, friends and her customers at Fincham’s and Ricky’s. Emma was a loving and caring mother who always put her family first especially after her husband passed away. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Mom.
Per her request her body will be donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. A private service will be held at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be made in Emma’s name to Wiley Cemetery Tree Fund, P.O. Box 194, Colfax, IL 61728.
