Armed robbery late Sunday at Downs gas station

DOWNS – The McLean County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying an armed robbery suspect at a Downs gas station.

The Sheriff’s department responded to the report of an armed robbery around 10 p.m. at the Mobil Gas Station. The suspect fled the scene in a late 1990s or early 2000s white Ford Explorer.

The suspect is being described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’4″ to 5’9″, with a medium build.

In a release, police don’t say what weapon was used or what was taken during the robbery.
