Winter weather advisory issued across Central Illinois

BLOOMINGTON – Wintry weather with a mix of snow and ice is expected Tuesday night until Wednesday afternoon across all of Central Illinois.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect Tuesday at 9 p.m. until noon Wednesday.

The advisory includes McLean, DeWitt, Logan, Piatt, Champaign, Woodford, Tazewell and Livingston counties.

Mixed precipitation is expected with total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch possible.

The weather service said to plan on slippery road conditions which could impact the Wednesday morning commute.
