SPRINGFIELD – Gov. Pritzker says the road back for Illinois colleges and universities includes beefing up grant programs like Aim High.
Signing a bill into law in Springfield Thursday, the governor said his budget gives more money to Aim High and to MAP – the Monetary Award Program.
The new law allows universities to hold onto leftover Aim High money.
“This program helps our state universities attract Illinois high school students to their campuses, it provides financial assistance to help families afford college, and it keeps students in Illinois,” Pritzker said.
