BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington High School has hired Justin Walker as the next boys basketball head coach.
Walker spent the last five years as an assistant coach at Southern Illinois University. He made previous coaching stops as an assistant coach at Moraine Valley Junior College and Waubonsie Valley High School.
“I am very excited to add Coach Walker to our teaching and coaching staff at Bloomington,” said District 87 Athletic Director Tony Bauman in a statement. “He brings in a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to our program and our student athletes.”
Walker takes over as head coach for Micheal Mosley who resigned last month after eight seasons with the Raiders.
Walker will join the BHS staff as a physical education teacher. The District 87 board must approve the appointment.
