BLOOMINGTON – The suspect from a fatal hit-and-run crash over the weekend has turned himself in to Bloomington Police.
Jose Rodgriguez, 27, of Bloomington, was arrested for allegedly driving a van that struck a motorcycle Saturday around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Macarthur Avenue.
The victim was identified as Corey Cotrell, 39, of Normal, who died due to injuries sustained during the crash, according to authorities.
Rodgriguez faces charges including failure to report an accident causing death, disregarding a traffic control device, and not having a driver’s license.
Rodgriguez is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday and the formal charges have yet to be filed.
