LEXINGTON – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that starting July 20, 2015 weather permitting; Old US 66 will be reduced to one lane and restricted to 10 feet in width, two miles north of Lexington.
This project will include complete removal and replacement of the bridge carrying Old US 66 over Turkey Creek, associated earthwork and pavement replacement. The estimated completion date is May 2016.
The contractor for this $900,000 project is Stark Excavating.
