North Allin closure between Washington and Monroe

BLOOMINGTON – Starting Monday City of Bloomington crews will begin work opening up Jefferson Street at Allin Street to through traffic (700 Block of West Jefferson).

In order to complete this work Allin Street will be closed for traffic headed northbound between Washington and Monroe. This will allow crews to work on removing the median and adding pavement and curb and gutter.Northbound traffic will not be allowed on Allin Street exiting off of Washington Street and Jefferson Street in this area.

East bound Jefferson Street (in the 800 block) will be allowed to turn South to access Washington Street and South bound traffic exiting Monroe will not be allowed. Project staging will not close Friendship park access. Residents will have access to their driveways during construction. This street project will last approximately three weeks, weather permitting. Drivers should consider alternate routes.
