ISU restricting travel to China for university business, academic credit

NORMAL – Illinois State University is restricting travel to China for any school business or academic credit due to the coronavirus.

In an email Tuesday to students, faculty and staff, ISU said there are no reported cases of coronavirus at the university.  The overall threat to campus remains low, according to the email.

The Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory for China. As a result, ISU is restricting travel to China until the CDC changes the travel advisory.

The Illinois Department of Public Health says symptoms of coronavirus include fever, cough, and trouble breathing.
