YWCA McLean County Board of Directors names Liz German as CEO and President

BLOOMINGTON – Since serving as interim CEO for over nine months, the Board of Directors of YWCA of McLean County has officially named Liz German as their next CEO and President.

German has been with YWCA McLean County for 12-years servings as vice president of operations for four years, and senior director of Young Wonder Early Learning and Youth Development for three years.

“Liz embodies the spirit of collaboration and passion that will lead us (YWCA McLean County) into the future,” said YWCA McLean County Board Chair Tiffany Lawson-Grant. “Her passion around our mission is evident, and we are excited for her to lead the vital work you all get up and do every day.”

While serving as interim CEO, German worked with community members to find innovative possibilities for the pool area, including landing a $600,000 Google grant.

“Her commitment to advance our mission is only matched by her ability to forge partnerships that build our community by providing families and women access to needed programs,” Lawson-Grant said.

German will assume the position immediately.
