NORMAL – The McLean County Republican Party has experienced repeated vandalism for several months at two different office locations, according to GOP Chair Connie Beard.

Last summer, Beard reported there were four vandalism incidents over two months at the old party headquarters located on Bloomington’s east side, in which someone taped posters and pictures with vulgar messages, normally referring to President Trump. Since moving to a new office at 211 Landmark Drive in Normal, Beard said the vandalism has continued.
Each time it appears to be the same individual and while the vandalism is minor, the material is disturbing, according to Beard.
“This is something that happens almost on a weekly basis, sometimes every two to three weeks,” she said. “While it is minor, it still is rather vile.”
“I think it’s a person that needs some help,” Beard added. “When police came to our office and saw the material posted they agreed the individual posting this must be mentally unstable.”
Beard said security cameras were installed several months ago and a report was filed with both Bloomington and Normal Police. NPD said there have been no arrests.
