MCHD confirms new case of coronavirus

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department has confirmed a new case of coronavirus, bringing the total to nine cases.

The MCHD said the new patient is a woman in her 60s.  She is currently hospitalized in the ICU.

Data from the MCHD shows three of the COVID-19 patients are hospitalized.  Around 150 people have been tested in the county, 104 tests have been negative, and 37 test results are still pending.  There has been one McLean County death.

Meanwhile, the Illinois Department of Public Health on Thursday reported 2,538 total cases across the state, including 26 deaths.  Gov. Pritzker and state health officials will provide the daily coronavirus update at 2:30 p.m.
