CLINTON–Seniors in need in Dewitt county will be getting some help thanks to an anonymous donation.
Four hundred gift cards, worth $25 each were dropped off at the DeWitt County Friendship Center and the center’s executive director, Paula Jiles, told WJBC’s Scott Miller it means the world to her because the cards mean the recipient can get all the essentials they need, not just food.
If you’re doing the math, those four hundred gift cards total $10,000. Jiles says they’ve got a big job ahead of them and there are only two employees at the center but they will rise to the challenge.
To be considered for the money everyone is asked to call the Friendship Center at (217)935-9411 so they can make sure the money is going where it’s truly needed.
