BLOOMINGTON – Two Chicago residents were arrested over the weekend for possession of drugs during a traffic stop in Bloomington.
Rosemary Vortes, 22, and Darren Jackson, 34, were arrested Saturday night after a traffic stop near the intersection of W. Washington St. and Euclid Avenue, according to Bloomington Police.
During the stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. BPD said a search of the vehicle was completed and the following items of interest were seized (approximate values):
- 64.5 grams of crack cocaine
- 5.5 grams of powder cocaine
- 207 unidentified pills (MDMA/Ecstasy – methamphetamine)
- 254 grams of Cannabis
- Drug packaging materials
Both face charges for the manufacture and delivery of cocaine, meth, and cannabis. Vortes also faces charges for obstructing justice and two McLean County warrants.
Vortes and Jackson are being held at the McLean County jail.
