Bloomington firefighters put out garage fire on city’s east side

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington firefighters were able to save a detached garage that caught fire Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called around 6:49 a.m. to the area of Clinton and Felton on the city’s east side, according to a BFD Facebook post.  Someone passing by saw smoke and flames coming from the garage.  Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze and prevent any further damage.  Authorities were on the scene for about an hour.

No injuries were reported.  The fire is still under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
