BLOOMINGTON – While McLean County only reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, local health officials are reminding the community to remain vigilant during the holiday weekend.
With the overall positive rate at 2.0%, McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight encourages the community to follow social distancing guidelines during the holiday.
“This holiday weekend, keep yourself and your loved ones safe. Help stop the spread of COVID-19 (by) staying home if you are sick. Keep gathering sizes small and outdoor activities are encouraged over indoor activities.”
Officials report that of the 261 cases, 238 individuals have fully recovered.
McKnight reports that of the 10 active cases, one individual is currently hospitalized while nine are isolating at home.
There have been 13 deaths in the county.
